Fae Dress & Mini Dress Sewing Pattern | Sizes 0-20
The Fae dress is about to become your go-to dress pattern for your spring and summer wardrobe. With the comfortable tie straps and stretchy elastic back panel, you can look great while staying cool. Choose the handkerchief skirt for a whimsical, fairy-inspired look, or choose the circle skirt version to create a polished looks for Sunday brunch and family picnics. Sewing options include a slightly above the knee skirt or a mini length skirt (which can also be worn as a top if you are feeling less daring). You can layer multiple handkerchief skirts over the top of each other to create fun, boho-inspired garments. For even more variety, you can choose to create straps that tie at the shoulders or a halter top.
This pattern is appropriate for light to medium weight woven fabrics with good drape (the pattern includes a full list of suggested fabrics). It is recommended to use 54" wide fabric to create this dress, though the knee length dress will require 60" wide fabric for sizes 16 and up. Exact fabric requirements will depend on the variation you are making. The tutorial includes a fabric requirement chart detailing the amount of fabric needed for each pattern piece and size.
